According to the new issue of UsWeekly, the Two And A Half Men star has it nailed. ‘He’s been so helpful, chipping in with feedings, and he loves to hold the baby,’ a source told the publication.
The insider added that the 36-year-old actor has even read up on how to be a great father. ‘Ashton read the top child-care books,’ said the friend. And he even had say on the nursery, having it painted grey and filled with stuffed animals.
His work schedule has even shifted. The ex-husband of Demi Moore has asked that he have a ‘more stable schedule’ on his sitcom. And he has also planned the child’s first big trip. He and Mila will be traveling to his hometown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa in December to see his sister 39-year-old Tausha who gave birth to son Maxton on September 19.
As far as Mila, she is stepping into her role as mom quite well too, according to the weekly.
The source noted she has already taken Wyatt for strolls in their gated Beverly Hills neighborhood where the couple owns a $10 mansion.
‘They’ve been on an adrenaline high since the birth,’ the source added.
‘Mila was born to be a mum,’ a source told People on Friday. ‘She is a kid herself and will be the best mum ever. She will never be a glamour-puss.
‘Their lives will change, but not nearly as drastically as other couples, because they were so ready to be parents and knew what responsibilities they had in store.’
