Man Murders Rich Dad For Reducing Pocket Money

30-year-old Thomas Gilbert Jr. shot his 70-year-old rich dad, Thomas Gilbert, founder of $200million hedge fund, Wainscott Capital, at his Manhattan home on January 4th. According to New York Daily News, Thomas Jr had gone to see his father at his home after he threatened to stop paying his $2,400-a-month rent and reduce his weekly allowance to $300.

A row reportedly ensued and Thomas Jr sent his mother out of the house to buy him a sandwich so she wouldn’t witness what he was planning to do. He shot his father in the head and left the gun, said to belong to his father, on his chest.

His father’s body was later discovered by his mum who then called police and told them she’d left her son with his father before she left the house that afternoon.
