US First Lady, Michelle Obama who has been married to her husband for 22 years, revealed some of the secrets to her blissful relationship with President Barack Obama during her fourth visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

‘You don’t sweat the small stuff,’ she told her pal, when Ellen asked if there was anything about her husband that bugged her. I give him a pass now when he leaves his socks on the floor or tells that story for the 100th time and wants us to laugh at it as if it’s the first time we’ve heard it,’ she dished.

The 51-year-old also revealed one of the simple things she’s looking forward to after the presidency is over.

‘You know, the one thing people don’t realise is we can’t do little things like open windows. You know. I mean I look forward to getting in a car and rolling down the window and just letting the air hit my face,’ Michelle said.

She added: ‘I mean I haven’t been in a car with the windows open in about seven years if you can imagine that. So I’m gonna spend that first year just hanging out the window. The wind!’

The doting mother, who looked chic in a black jacket embellished with white embroidery and white trousers, also praised their daughters Sasha, 13, and Malia, 16, for the way they have coped with growing up in the White House.

‘They are so typical. And I love it,’ she said. ‘I’m so proud of them I think they’ve just managed this interesting journey with just a lot of grace and poise. I’m really proud of them.’
