It makes sense because the letter referred to family. When I opened my wedding gifts(which were much) I got sooooooo many glass cups and plates that’s enough to start a hotel. Not just getting glass cups i got like 5 of each type. Some people don’t know how to buy gifts at all. When I want to buy gifts I always want my gift to be useful to whomever I buy it for.
