Kate, Will And Family Leave London For Anmer Hall Home

Mail Online – The royal couple, who yesterday registered the birth of Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, are heading to Anmer Hall, their ten-bedroom country retreat on the Queen’s estate in Sandringham.

Kate's home

It comes after the couple spent three days in their London residence, where they were visited by the Queen, Princes Charles and the Middleton family. The couple are now expected to remain behind closed doors at their ten-bedroom property, away from the world’s media. William is currently on an extended six-week paternity leave and will start his new role as an air ambulance pilot on June 1. Anmer Hall was a gift to the couple from the Queen following their wedding.

The couple are expected to issue a family photograph with their daughter and 21-month-old Prince George in the coming weeks, but are otherwise expected to remain away from the world’s media over the coming weeks.

The Duke and Duchess’s full-time live-in nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, will be on hand to help as they adjust to life at Anmer Hall and Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton – who spent six hours with her granddaughter on Sunday – is also expected to offer her support.

William and Kate are fiercely protective of their children’s privacy. It is likely that Princess Charlotte’s christening, which will be in three or four months, will be the next time Princess Charlotte is photographed public. Even then, that is unlikely to be a public event, with only a handful of photographs released to the media.
