Heartwarming Photo Of 2 Brave Young Girls Battling Cancer
Two brave young girls battling cancer, Maliyah Jones, 5, and Madelina DeLuca, 2, were pictured hugging each other in hospital after chemotherapy treatment.
5-year-old Maliyah Jones has been fighting neuroblastoma for three years. Doctors found a tumour the size of an orange in her abdomen in May 2012 and discovered it had spread to her bone marrow. She was given just a 30% chance of survival.
Her 2-year-old pal, Madelina DeLuca, is undergoing chemotherapy after being diagnosed with leukaemia last year.
The pair met for the first time at Pittsburgh children’s hospital, became friends and gave each other a hug. The moment was captured by Maliyah’s mum Tazz and shared on Facebook.
