“Do Not Wait Until 30 To Have A Baby” – NHS Chief GYN Warns
One of Britain’s top NHS fertility specialists last night issued a stark warning to women: “Start trying for a baby before you’re 30 – or risk never having children,” the Daily Mail reports.
Consultant gynaecologist, Professor Geeta demanded that teenagers are taught about the dangers of delaying parenthood, because of the spiralling cost to the taxpayer of IVF for women in their late 30s and 40s.
Professor Nargund cites the agony of a growing number of women left childless as a key reason why fertility lessons must be included in the national curriculum. She writes,
‘I have witnessed all too often the shock and agony on the faces of women who realise they have left it too late to start a family.
‘For so many, this news comes as a genuine surprise and the sense of devastation and regret can be overwhelming. And so often the cry will be “Why did no one warn me about this?”’

I’ve heard this before from a medical doctor who said it’s good for a woman to finish child bearing around 32 years in order to avoid complications that come with late pregnancy.

People in d profession already know this n won’t doubt bcos they see it daily.ln as much as God is still performing miracles,n there are exceptions to every general principle,this write up is very correct.My only concern is:will women who (by no fault of theirs)are not married become single mums bcos they want to beat d 30yrs benchmark?
Eka thank you so very much. You just took the words out of my mouth. So if I didn’t get married before 30yrs I shld get pregnant and become a single or look for a man to impregnant. This is another way of telling women in their 30’s to have kids even if they are married. Different medical reports coming up everytime. Saying things that will benefit them. Devil is a liar. In America so many single women without husbands. Giving birth to different children for different men.
