David Beckham Disappointed As Son Reveals He May Not Follow In His Footsteps
Former Football star David Beckham has revealed he was hurt when one of his sons told him he may not follow in his illustrious footsteps because he could not handle the pressure.
Though David did not mention which of his son said this, speaking to ABC news David said: “I’d love them to play soccer, but I want them to be happy doing it, you know. One of my boys turned around to me the other day, he said, ‘Daddy, you know, I’m not sure I want to play football all the time…’ It broke my heart a little bit.
Speaking futher, David stated, : “He said, ‘Every time that I step onto the field, I know people are saying, you know, ‘This is David Beckham’s son,’ and if I’m not as good as you, then it’s not good enough.’ I said, ‘Okay, stop right there… You play because you want to play.”
This is another disappointment for Beckham, after his first son Brooklyn revealed recently he would like to study photography and art once done with his A Levels.

His parents didn’t choose playing soccer for him so it’s for him to be a good dad n support his kids in their chosen careers

David has a right to feel that way. The good thing is he is not pushing his sons onto the playing field as much as he would have loved them to become (great) soccer players.
The boy might even be more famous in his own chosen field, so let him be.
