Lamar Odom Reportedly Tells Khloe He Needs Space

According to Us Weekly, Lamar Odom has told his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, that he needs space. The rift was reportedly caused by his close friends and family who told him the reality star had been exploiting his tragic overdose for publicity.

A source said his inner circle has turned him against Khloe, claiming she tipped off paparazzi to document the Kardashian family’s comings and goings at the hospital.

Lamar is also said to have been led to believe that his estranged wife has taken credit for his miraculous recovery after a series of strokes – related to his drug overdose – and blocked members of his family and inner circle of friends from visiting him in the hospital.

Agitated by the allegations, Lamar is said to have told Khloe on October 23 he ‘needed space’ and ‘wanted to be alone’ before telling her to ‘get out’.

Khloe, 31, who confirmed last week that she and Lamar are not back together as widely reported despite withdrawing their divorce papers, is yet to make comments about their rumoured rift.

According to reports, the former NBA star who turns 36 on Friday, is gradually getting better though he still has a long road to recovery.

A source told Us Weekly the former NBA star is still working with lots of therapists, but doing better slowly but surely, and may be moved to a rehab facility next week.

The source added: ‘Every day he is relearning how to do more with his motor skills. He is cognitively aware of everything but [it’s] hard to process a lot at once.’

An insider also told Entertainment Tonight that Lamar is walking with assistance – with people holding him up or while using a walker.

Lamar is currently being treated at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai hospital after collapsing at a Nevada brothel following a four-day bender three weeks ago.
