Celine Dion Anticipates Last Christmas with Cancer Stricken Husband As She Sings Tribute for Victims of Paris Attack
Sensational singer, Celine Dion evoked strong emotions as she sang Edith Piaf’s Hymne a l’Amour as a tribute to Paris during the American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday reports Daily Mail. The French-Canadian sang Edith Piaf’s Hymne a l’Amour as a montage showing of Paris landmarks, including the the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe, and the French capital uniting in the wake of the attacks, played behind her.
It is reported that the 47-year-old mum of three has been shedding plenty of tears in private over her ailing husband, 73-year-old Rene Angelil.
The couple have three kids, 14-year-old Rene Charles and 5-year-old twins, Nelson and Eddy.
The French-Canadian reportedly believes this will be her last holiday season with her music manager husband who is battling throat cancer. An unnamed friend says,
‘This is very likely the last Christmas they’ll celebrate with Rene, Celine is trying to make the most of whatever time they have left with Rene. Celine is hopeful by nature. She puts her trust in her faith.’
Dion is on break from her Las Vegas show at Caesars Palace until December 30 so she can have family time. She has a run until 2019. The unnamed friend reveals how the music siren spends time with her family.
“They spend hours singing traditional carols. Rene does not join in, but he listens.”
Celine Dion is said to be guarding against gloominess even as she believes this might be their last Christmas with Rene,
‘She won’t allow the house to descend into gloom and doom. She does her best to fill her boys’ lives with fun and excitement. But I also think every day has become more meaningful to them given what the family is going through,’ says the insider.
The family, including Celine’s aged mother and Rene’s 3 adult children, are presently staying together at the family’s home in Vegas.
