If you frequently visit mummy blogs or parenting websites, you may already be conversant with acronyms like FTM, MIL, BIL, TCC and what have you. This list is to help you understand the lingo that is fasting becoming a phenomenon on parenting website.

  1. AF – Aunt Flo — menstruation/period
  2. AP – attachment parenting
  3. BB or BBS – Internet bulletin board
  4. BBC – BabyCenter
  5. BBL – be back later
  6. BBT – basal body temperature
  7. BC – birth control, or before children
  8. BCPS – birth control pills
  9. BD – baby dance (sex)
  10. BF – breastfeed, or boyfriend
  11. BFN – big fat negative (pregnancy test)
  12. BFP – big fat positive (pregnancy test)
  13. BIL – brother-in-law
  14. BM – breast milk, or bowel movement
  15. BRB – be right back
  16. BTDT – been there, done that
  17. CD – cycle day
  18. CF – cervical fluid
  19. Circ. – circumcise

  36. EWCM – egg white cervical mucus
  37. FF – formula feeding
  38. FIL – father-in-law
  39. FT – full time
  40. FTM – first time mom
  41. FTS – First time sex (Virgin)
