A South African woman, Cecilia Mthala, 34, has recounted her ordeal with her boyfriend who she claims cannot stand seeing her with other men and is found of physically abusing her as a result. She said,
“He chased me out of our house and I went to stay at a friend’s place. The next morning he phoned me and I thought he wanted to fix things, so I agreed to go back home,” she told DailySun SA
However, she met him on the street on her way home and he was still furious. He accused her of cheating on him and allegedly beat her with a steel pipe.
Cecilia said when people came to her rescue, her lover fled and she was taken to Kalafong Hospital with head injuries and both her eyes swollen.
“He beat me on the head and face with a steel pipe. He then kicked me and continued to beat me everywhere. I want that man to rot in jail for what he did to me,” she said.
The suspect is still at large, however, police have reportedly launched a search and an assault case has been opened.
