Sister of San Bernadino Terrorist Seeks To Adopt His 6-Month-Old Daughter

Saira Khan said to be the older sister of San Bernardino shooter, Syed Farook is seeking to adopt Farook’s 6-month-old daughter, Yahoo Parenting reports. A custody hearing has been held but no long-term decisions were made on the status of the left behind child of the husband and wife who gunned down 14 people in Southern California last week.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, whose attorney is representing Khan made it known that another hearing has been scheduled for next month. In the meantime, the child remains in the custody of San Bernardino County Child Protective Services.

The council further made it known that it is seeking to have the child placed with a Muslim foster family and to be reunited with relatives as soon as possible. The couple were said to have left their 6-month-old baby girl with family members saying they were headed to a doctor’s appointment before heading off to wreck havoc at the holiday party.
