Meet Baby Born 2 Feet Long & Weighing More Than 12 Pounds

Kasen Michael Box, born on Monday night at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar via an unexpected cesarean section, is 2 feet long and weighed an amazing 12 pounds, 8 ounces at birth.

His mum, Ashley Box, who already has a 2-year-old son, told KHOU she didn’t think Kasen would be bigger than 10 pounds, but he could have been even bigger as he wasn’t due until Jan. 18. She added, “I couldn’t believe it. We pushed and no progress. To me, he feels small, but he is still huge.”

While the parents are concerned that the boy’s size might pose a health concern, Kasen is following in the footsteps of his older brother, Blake, born 2 pounds less than Kasen and already wearing the clothing of a 4-year-old at only 2.
