Recently Bereaved Celine Dion in More Grief as Brother Also Battling Cancer Struggles to Survive
It’s a very heartbreaking and trying time for Celine Dion, 47, whose husband, René Angélil, died on Thursday after a long battle with throat cancer as it has been revealed that her older brother, Daniel, is also battling cancer and has just hours or days to live.
Her sister, Claudette, told Journal Of Montreal: ‘It’s very painful. It’s a matter of days or hours. It looks a lot like René, he had cancer of the throat, tongue and brain. Our family is very experienced. He is 59 years old, very young to be the end of (his) life.’
Daniel is reportedly surrounded by family, including their 88-year-old mother, Therese, at a hospital in Montreal.
