Lawyer Who Stabbed Hubby to Death Arraigned in Court
Yewande Oyediran, the lawyer who was arrested for allegedly stabbing her France-based husband to death at their Akobo residence in Ibadan during a row last week (read here) was arraigned on Friday before an Ibadan Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Iyaganku, in Ibadan.
According to Punch, she pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge against her and has been remanded at the Agodi prison, despite the plea by her counsel that she should be kept in police custody. The accused was however taken to prison in a Nissan Primera car, allegedly owned by one of her lawyer friends, preventing journalists from capturing her exit.

The case was adjourned till February 16.
The deceased, Lowo Oyeniran, a property manager who lived in Grenoble, France, married her three years ago and met his untimely death during one of his routine visits to Nigeria. The couple had no child.
I just hope her family won’t play a smart one.
