Betrayal: Man Marries Another Woman While Pregnant Girlfriend Was in Labour
Heather McGillion, 24, and her boyfriend, Adonis Rodriguez, 21, met as entertainers for tourists in the Dominican Republic and it seemed they were both looking forward to getting married after spending more than a year as a couple.
Heather however learned Adonis had served her the ultimate betrayal just as she welcomed their son, Diego, at the hospital – she had opened a message on Facebook from a friend showing a photo of Adonis marrying a German tourist and realized their relationship was only sham.
Heather, a trained dancer, said,
‘When I opened the message it felt like I had been hit by a double-decker bus. Adonis had his arms around a woman and she was wearing a wedding dress. It didn’t make sense and the more I thought about it, the more absurd it was.
We had only been apart for a few weeks and there was no way Adonis could have met another woman and arranged a wedding in less than a month.
For a second I didn’t twig who it was. Then to my horror I realised it was Julia. She was a German tourist who came to stay at the hotel. About a year before I had noticed Adonis had become friends with her on Facebook and they had been messaging each other.
It was nothing sexual but it made me feel uneasy. But Adonis assured me there was nothing going on and when I discovered I was pregnant I forgot all about it.’
‘She was unrecognisable from the slightly plump, mousy woman I had seen on Adonis’s Facebook page. In fact she now looked like me. She had lost weight and dyed her hair to look just like me, only with added wrinkles.
When I phoned Adonis and asked ‘Why is Julia in a wedding dress,’ there was a pause and then he said: ‘Heather, I’m so sorry’ I hung up and burst into tears.’
She later found out that Adonis had been seeing Julia all along and the two plotted their wedding to coincide with the period she returned to the UK.
‘She knew all about me and him and the baby but still married him, they had both planned it and I was the one not in the know.
I feel so foolish for trusting Adonis but I keep telling myself there were no warning signs. He treated me like royalty and he was so excited about our baby.
I still can’t believe what happened. Adonis had given me the impression he wanted to be together forever but while I was giving birth to his baby, he was marrying another woman,’ Heather said.
She has now moved back to the Dominican Republic with their now three months old son, Diego, despite the betrayal and allows her ex visit their baby.
Height of betrayal indeed. This is why l dont advice a lady to get pregnant before marriage.

Very sad story. Ladies, take note. Pregnancy does not guarantee marriage neither does sex before marriage. The seemingly innoncent messaging and nothing sexual about them led to Adonis getting intimate with the German tourist and marriage. I hope people (especially women) who say “they are just chats” will read this. Why did the woman (Julia) have to be like you, Heather? Take care of your baby and all the best in your next relationship.
