BABY RECIPE: Rice Flour, Chicken & Veggie Porridge

Hey, mums! Here’s another yummy and highly nutritious recipe your baby will absolutely love. Appropriate from 12 months.

You’ll need
2 tbsp coconut oil (unscented)
100 g chicken (boneless)
1 medium onion (chopped)
200 g celeriac (chopped into tiny bits)
2 medium carrot (chopped into tiny bits)
2 medium tomatoes (deseeded & chopped)
2 dl green peas (frozen one in this recipe)
2 dl water
1 tsp garlic paste/powder
1/2 tsp oregano
White pepper
1tsp paprika
1 tsp seasoning (optional)
500 g assorted beans (white & black beans cooked and mashed).
1 Bay leaf
2 tbsp rice flour (dissolved in water)

How to prepare
1. Fry onion, chicken, white pepper and oregano together in oil on a medium her for 3 minutes.
2. Stir in celeriac and cover to cook for 2 minutes.
3. Add carrots and paprika and cover to cook for 7 minutes.
4. Stir in tomatoes and bay leaf. Leave to cook for 5 minutes.
5. Add your peas and cover to cook for 5 minutes.
6. Stir in mashed beans, 1 dl water and rice flour.
7. Cover to cook for another 10 minutes, stiring consistently.
8. Serve lukewarm.
