  • Yes she’s right and it is pathetic. Our society needs a total change of orientation because this is what has made so many women jump into wrong marriages. Societal pressure is real. Marriage shouldn’t be the ultimate for any woman.

  • Well its just an African abi Nigerian mentality. In developed countries, other things take priority

  • Yeah, that’s the society we live in, we need to be re-oriented and change our mindset as African.

  • Nobody is put under pressure in my family. Get married when you meet the right man. So if you wait for long it must be worth the waiting. I got married in my 30’s and nobody ever put pressure on me even though my kid sister got married before me like 3years apart. Even my sister got married in her late 30’s and no pressure from mo one or whatsoever. So family putting pressure on their girls for marriage are not helping them cos that why we see so much drama and divorce in marriages today because people were not emotionally and psychologically prepared.

  • Hmmmm, my sister na true O. Instead of women working hard to get sth doing after higher institution, d next thing on their mind is marriage. Pathetic as most don’t v a kobo to their name but live at d mercies of their husbands. Pathetic

  • Yeah. She’s right… but just know for yourself what you want and stick to it. Some people desire early marriage like I do and I have my personal reasons why. What matters most is who you’re married to. Even if you’re 50 before getting married if you’re not careful and end up with a monster, you’d still have regrets. So I’d rather ask God for the right man at an early age.. and hey! Who says I can’t have a supportive spouse while chasing my dreams?.. Then there’s this other aspect people ignore like it doesn’t matter, ladies claim they’re not ready for marriage cos they’re chasing their dreams, yet they have boyfriends they engage in premarital sex with, stay at their apartments every weekend, cook, clean and even do their laundry. Are these kind of ladies not just deceiving themselves???

  • Yes she is damm right….family pressure, peer pressure, the society, even the church you worship, will not let the single girls rest, they will organize fasting & prayer
