Tragedy! Family Dogs Kill 3 Day Old Newborn at Home in California
A family has been faced with tragedy after their newborn baby was mauled to death by their two dogs.
According to the Fresno Bee, Fresno Police Sgt. Dan Macias said that two family dogs killed a 3-day-old baby girl to death in California.
Tragedy struck when the dogs stormed the main apartment from the backyard where they were usually kept after the baby’s 33-year-year old mother left her on the couch and walked away for a few seconds.
The door to the house had been left opened because it was hot and she thought the dogs were tied up in the backyard.

Noticing what had happened, the baby was quickly rushed to Community Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead shortly after the attack on Monday.
The woman told police that one of the dogs was known to be aggressive.
“At this point, we believe it was an unfortunate accident,” Macias told Fresno Bee.
According to him, the two male dogs, which are believed to be a mix of shar-pei and pit bull are owned by the woman’s 30-year-old brother.
Police also said the newborn, the woman and the woman’s brother were said to be alone in the residence at the time of the devastating attack.
The owner of the dog has since surrendered them to the Central California Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, (SPCA).
Walter Salvari, SPCA spokesman said the dogs will be euthanized.
However, Macias says police are still investigating the case and that charges have not been ruled out.

One was aggressive and they still allowed it to stay. They were waiting for tragedy before handing it over to SPCA. So sad that its an innocent and helpless baby had to pay for their carelessness
