‘Militants are robbing and raping wives’ Ikorodu Residents Cry For Help

Babajide Apatira, a concerned resident of Ikorodu, Lagos has cried out to media houses to help publicise the pains of its residents till it reaches appropriate authorities.

It was gathered that the latest attack on Ikorodu allegedly began on Wednesday, with the hoodlums kidnapping and shooting everything on sight.

According to Babajide Apatira:

“Good evening everyone,my name is Babajide Apatira, please I need the help of every member of this wonderful group to please do what you can in your best ability to help the people of Igbolomu/Isawo in Owutu Agric Ikorodu Lagos.

This area as been terrorised by a certain group of terrorist who aren’t even indigenes of the area. They are visitors and yet they have been killing, raping, robbing and wounding the residents of this area and yet we don’t hear anything in the news. It’s as if the area is out of the map and there’s no military interference at all and lives are being lost every day and the worst part is that these criminals don’t have regards for anyone and they act like they are above the law.

These criminals came to vandalise petroleum pipelines and when they have been stopped from dealing fuel bunkering they have resorted to robbing and raping wives in the presence of their husbands, they are intoxicated by the power of the sophisticated weapons they have in their possession which they have been using to terrorise the neighbourhood.

HELP! HELP!! HELP!!! THE GOOD PEOPLE of Nigeria and my fellow YALIANS I know and believe in the power of this group and I know that with the help and support of the wonderful and vibrant members of this group. Please help the people of IGBOLOMU /ISAWO Out of this nightmare and hardship.

PLEASE MY GOOD FRIENDS I LOOK UP TO YOU AND I BELIEVE IN YOU ALL”

According to another report from The Nationthe hooded gunmen had stormed a primary school in the area at about 3 pm yesterday, where they were spotted changing into black costumes.

A source said the militants were sighted by some primary school children who informed their teachers.

“They came to that school around 3pm and they wore masks. They were changing into black costumes when some school children saw them and notified their teachers.

“That was how they fled and people in the area started running. About five patrol vehicles of Rapid response Squad (RRS) later came there and there was a heavy gunshot in the area.

“I heard people were killed and some were kidnapped but I am not sure. I also fled the area yesterday to Lagos Island. I have no plans of returning to Ikorodu for now because it has turned into a war zone.

“If militants do not attack, cultists will or there will be an explosion. For now, I do not intend going back,” he said.

Policemen have been sent alongside soldiers to patrol Imushe, around Igando so that the hoodlums do not flee Ikorodu and strike Igando, a security source who hinted on the attack said.
