Abducted Lagos Monarch Freed After 3 Weeks in Kidnappers’ Den

Punch reports he was released on Saturday, and a source told the media this was done after an undisclosed ransom was paid.

Confirming his release, one of the monarch’s sons, Kabiru Oseni, said he came through a jetty in the area around 7 pm. He however declined giving further details.

Meanwhile, a source said,

“The Oba did not come in like he was rescued by the police. His coming back was without fanfare. He just walked into the community. It is in doubt that the police were involved in the rescue.
