Depressed Mum Of 3 Disappears With Last Son, Leaves 7-page Suicide Note Behind

The whereabouts of a single mother of three (pictured above), who walked out of her Fola Agoro home in the Somolu area of Lagos state last Friday evening with her last child, identified as Oluwaseun, and left a 7-page suicide note, is still unknown.

Overwhelmed by the troubles of her life, the Lagos-based businesswoman, Olubunmi Uko, had complained to a relative that her business had gone bad due to the exchange rate and that her debts had risen beyond redemption.

She reportedly woke up her other children and informed them that she was going to visit someone. However, the children, Iyiola and Toni, allegedly woke up later, they found a suicide note written by their mother.

According to her family members:

”On the day she went missing, she told her two older sons, Toni and Iyiola that she was going to see someone.

When the older children woke up, they found the 7-page suicidal note she wrote to her children, mum and to whom it may concern.

She stated that she was tired of life and that she was going to jump into the sea and that no one should look for her because by the time they find the letter, she knows that a shark would have eaten her up.

One of her sons said she was tired of life as her business was suffering due to the crashing dollar rates. Olubunmi sold Forever Living products.

She collected N500,000 from a bank to fund her business and had not been able to pay back a situation that has caused her sleepless nights.”

Minema Uko, another relative of the woman who identified the missing woman as her cousin-in-law, wondered why she would allow herself to be overwhelmed by the issues of life to the extent of taking such decision as solution.

”Our prayer is for God to have mercy by ensuring her safe return and that of her son, Seun. We are imploring Nigerians to please join us to pray,” the relative said.
