New Mum, Angela Simmons Introduces Son, Sutton Joseph | Talks Motherhood In New Interview
Daughter of Run D.M.C.’s Rev. Run and reality TV star, Angela Simmons is loving every minute of being a mum.
The first-time mum showed off her fiancé, Sutton Tennyson, 35, and son, Sutton Joseph Tennyson, for the first time in the latest issue of People Magazine.
Speaking with People, Simmons, 29, said the birth of her son, who she was expecting in October was a surprise as he was born at 36 weeks and 4 days in September.
“We thought we had another month to get the nursery ready,” she revealed.
Though the nursery is now complete, Simmons revealed her little boy hardly sleeps in the crib.
”He is a hungry boy. He’s up every few hours wanting to eat. It doesn’t leave a lot of time to close my eyes. But it’s all worth it,” she added.
Simmons also said she’s relying heavily on the support of her family — particularly her fiancé.
”He’s been so helpful, doing middle-of-the-night diaper changes and everything,” she revealed.
She also spilled those diaper changes have proven surprisingly difficult given her son’s preference to be constantly dry and clean, but disdain for the process of being changed.
”He hates being dirty but never wants to be naked. We try and get the new diaper on him as quickly as possible to calm him down,” she said.
Simmons who is still working on planning her wedding added:
”I’ve always wanted to be a mom. So I’m loving every minute of it.”
