“I still suffer from being raped as a teenager”– Lady Gaga To Homeless Teenagers

Lady Gaga, pop icon, came out in a recent interview to tell the world  how she suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, which is as a result of being raped as a teenager.

PunchNg reports that the singer made the revelation during a television interview on Monday at a New York homeless shelter for gay and lesbian (LGBT) youth. During her visit to the Ali Forney Center in New York, she told the homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender teenagers that her trauma helped her understand others.

Lady Gaga had earlier revealed two years ago that she was raped when she was 18, an experience that still left her traumatized. The 30 year old, urged the youths at the Ali Forney Center shelter to find the courage to face their problems.

“I don’t have the same kinds of issues that you have, but I have a mental illness, and I struggle with that mental illness every day, I need my mantra to help keep me relaxed. You are brave. You are courageous.” she said.
