Woman Cries Out for Help as Her 50 Year Old Mom is Abducted in Lagos

The daughter of a 50-year-old Nigerian Customs official, has narrated how her mother was kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Festac Town area of Lagos.

Comfort Alaba, was taken away by unknown gunmen in front of her children in the FESTAC Town area of Lagos State. The assailants reportedly abducted her near an eatery around 8pm on Tuesday while she was visiting her children on 22 Road, FESTAC Town.

Information gathered revealed that the unmasked gunmen ordered the children not to shout, threatening to shoot them dead if they did, as they made away with their mother in her black Murano Jeep.

It was also learnt that the woman recently separated from her husband and had left her home for her husband’s place, to visit her children when the unfortunate incident happened.
According to the victim’s daughter, Faith, who spoke with Punch:
”My mum came to visit us. We were in her Jeep, playing with her. She had spent about 20 minutes with us and was preparing to leave. As I hugged her goodbye, and my sister stepped out of her vehicle, two guys walked up to her and took control of the car. As I was about to shout, one of them put a gun to my abdomen and said if I shouted he would kill me.

I suddenly heard a gunshot, and before I knew it, they had zoomed off with her. They wore black clothes. They didn’t say anything to us except when they threatened me. They were two in number.”

Narrating how the incident happened on Twitter yesterday,

“We were at TFC at 22 road, FESTAC outside in the car and two men came around. My sister ran out of the car. My mother was still screaming and struggling when the other one pointed a gun at me. We ran away and by the time we looked back as we were screaming for help, they zoomed off with her insides.

This is the plate number of the black Murano jeep EPE103CY. God please don’t let my enemies laugh at me. She is everything to us. They were two men and they were not wearing mask. I saw them at close range but I won’t be able to recognize them. I don’t know if anyone has any grudge against my mum.
