“His Death Brought Pride to Me And My Family” –  Saddam Hussein’s Daughter Speaks Out 10 Years Later

Raghad Saddam Hussein, the daughter of notorious war lord and terrorist, Saddam Hussein, who ruled Iraq from 1979 until his overthrow and capture by a US-led coalition in 2003, finally speaks out, 10 years after her father was killed publicly for his crimes.

Speaking to CNN, Raghad revealed that although the details of her father’s death are horrible and painful, it was an honorable death.

Raghad, her sister and their children are now living and seeking refuge in Jordanian capital, where they sought refuge after the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Speaking to newsmen this is what she had to say:

“I don’t think he would have gone in a death smaller than this. It was a death that brought pride to me, my children, my sisters and their children, to all those who love him and have a place for him in their heart.”

Saddam Hussein’s brutality, didn’t stop in the battle field. It was also reflected in his family life, as revealed by Raghad, 48. She described how she was married at the tender age of 15, and how her  husband  was killed by her father. She however said she  accepts her father’s brutality, but says that she has chosen to rememeber her father as a hero, and a courageous, nationalistic, symbol to millions of people.
