It’s a Miracle! 64 Year Old Chinese Woman Gives Birth to Healthy Baby
The story of an unidentified Chinese woman, who recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy at the age of 64 is currently making headlines.
According to reports, her first child had died before, but she never gave up. When she was ready to try again, she opted for In-vitro fertilisation (IVF) to have another child.
The woman experienced a difficult pregnancy, and had to give birth through Caesarean section.
The doctor on duty Teng Hong, said she was the oldest patient she has seen so far, adding that the patient had gone through menopause about a decade ago:
“Due to her age, the woman faced a lot of health risks during pregnancy, including gestational diabetes and internal bleeding, but she’s very strong. She received treatment with an optimistic attitude and overcame all the difficulties to give birth, she trusted us wholeheartedly by doing exactly what we told her to do and kept in good spirits every day”
The mother and child are said to be doing well.
