US Army Veteran Chuks Okebata Shot Dead in Nigeria During Christmas Visit | Videos Show Evidence of Troubled Marriage Before his Death

Some days ago, the sad news of a U.S Army veteran, Chuks Okebata, who vsiited Nigeria for Christmas, after he finished building his mansion in his hometown in Imo state went viral.

According to a family member, Lilian Ndiukwu, who shared the sad incident on Facebook, Okebata, a father of two, was abducted and shot dead in an alleged case of ‘broad day light assassination’ in Imo State.

According to a source, information gathered from another relative of late Chuks reads:

”My Cousin, Chuks Okebata, A USA Veteran, who has spent most part of his life working and defending the United States of America.

After a very long time living in the USA, and because of the love he has for his country Nigeria and his home town (Umuduruorie Umuomumu Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA) he started building a house at home as a bond that make him to be frequenting his mother land. Just as he returned last Xmas to spend his vacation in Nigeria and also to move into his new home. At Exactly 5pm on the 12th of Jan 2017, some gun men abducted and shot him.

For all I know about my cousin, he has always been a free, gentle, and relates to everyone irrespective of your age. He’s survived by his two lovely sons and a wife (he has been in a serious battle with his wife in the US). A bounty has been placed on anybody with any clue whatsoever that can lead to the arrest of the Hoodlums. A sum of N2.5million reward as the family is out to seek Justice for the Assassinated son.”

And now, more controversy has erupted after Chuks’ death. Recent videos posted by Okebata’s sister, Ada Mbaeri, imply that he was in a serious battle with his wife in the United States before his death. Sources say that their dispute was so serious that she didn’t mind sending the father of her sons to jail unless he left their home and two sons. However, it was not clear in the video why Chuk’s wife called the cops on him.

You will see the couple’s two sons weeping uncontrollably when their father told them he was leaving so that he doesn’t end up in jail. Chuks thereafter returned home to Nigeria after being away in the US for so long and ended up dead just days into his visit to Nigeria.

Watch the heartbreaking videos which showed the their children caught in the middle of their parent’s arguments.

For recording that, I guess it was an attempt to catch d wife showing her true colors, maybe she is violent To him at home. We women hv to calm down sometimes o. Maybe he was unfaithful, whatever it is, those children need their dad. I don’t know who killed him, they need to find out fast n get justice served.
