Cuba Golding Jr. Files For Divorce After 22 Years Of Marriage

Academy award winner actor Cuba Golding Jr, is calling it quits on his marriage. The actor reportedly filed for divorce from his wife of 22 years, Sara Kapfer.

Golding Jr, 49, is filing for divorce three years after Kapfer, 47, filed for legal separation in April 2014 citing ‘irreconcilable differences’. Prior to this he was spotted severally with his wife last year which led many to believe the couple would get back together.

The news came as a surprise to many after Golding Jr opened up to Steve Harvey, during an interview after their separation saying:

“Listen, you know how things happen. Things happen, you grow up. I took my wife on a date the other day. Took her to see a movie the other day. Yeah. We got kids, man. We got to keep this together, strong, you know? That’s how I see it.”

According to TMZ, the “American Crime Story” actor is asking for joint legal custody and physical custody of their youngest child Piper, 11 and is willing to pay spousal support. He is also requesting that he keeps all of his earnings from the date Kapfer, filed for separation.

The pair who have been dating since high school, officially tied the knot in 1994. They are blessed with three children.
