Horrific: Father Inflicts Severe Injuries on Kids in Bid to Correct Bad Behaviour
A father of three, pastor Christopher Sule, has been apprehended for maltreating his daughters, aged 6 and 8, and inflicting severe injuries on them for their inability to recite what they were taught at their school in Jos, Channels News reports.
Their mother, Rachel Christopher, also received a dose of the treatment, for coming to their rescue. Narrating her ordeal, Racheal who could not hold back tears, said she and her daughters had lived under constant beating and harassment.
She alleged that for the past three years, they have been in bondage and under the yoke of maltreatment by her husband who under slight provocation would beat she and the children to stupor, adding that management of the school where the children attended, last week, noticed several lacerations on their bodies as result of severe beating over a minor issue and raised alarm.
The management of the school reported the incident to the National Security and Civil Defense Corp and the father was apprehended for interrogation.
Upon interrogation, Christopher, 43, said he was only trying to correct the wrong behavior of his children and that he could not justify his action. He confessed that he flogged his daughters more than the offence they committed.
âI donât know what came upon me, though I have been beating them that way for the past 3 years. I always regretted my action. By nature I am temperamental, and I need deliverance,â he said.
The accused who wept profusely, however, pleaded for mercy, promising to love his children.
Meanwhile, authorities said he would be charged for violating the âright to dignity of the childâ which states that ”every child is entitled to respect for the dignity of his person and accordingly, no child shall be subjected to physical, mental or emotional injury, abuse, neglect or maltreatment.”

please they should stop calling him a pastor. how can this one be a pastor(man of God) when he does not have any love. he is wicked . the girls should be protected. the bible said spare the rod and spoil the child, it didn’t say kill the child in the act of disciplining the child. please , please the girls should be protected . with this kind of beating , they will lose self confidence and grow up believing that without being beaten like that they wont learn anything.
i am battling with my girl today. she has stayed with two previous madams that beat the leaving daylight out of her. coming to an environment where there is no beating has been strange to her. making her believe she is somebody has been an herculean task. am still working on her.
the girls need serious therapy to come out of this. they should not be returned to the man . he is pouring his frustration and failure on the innocent girls. check very well, he wasnt an intelligent child, so the fear of his own failure is what is driving him to this extreme. god bless the school authorities for reporting.
