According to a Facebook user, Oyinkansola Ife, who shared the photos, a woman in Sango Otta, Ogun State, this morning allegedly took her own baby’s life shortly after delivery.

Sources also claim that the mother of 8 grown up kids, popularly known as Iya Oloshe, was arrested a while ago after neighbours found out that she had murdered her newly born baby girl and hid her corpse in a used bag of cement in a roof.

It was gathered that this is not the first time the woman had put to bed and killed the baby seemingly for no reason.

Neighbours confirmed that she delivered a baby boy about this time two years ago and abandoned him in a pit latrine, he was however found alive and rescued by government officials. Last year, she allegedly killed another baby immediately after she delivered him by herself and threw its corpse in a bin.

But this morning, nemesis caught up with her after a neighbour in the compound found the corpse of her baby in a used cement bag. The neighbour screamed and drew the attention of other neighbours to the scene. A neighbour said,

”She tried to deny it at first but later opened up to it after everyone descended on her with slap and blows and the worst part is that she is not even remorseful about the whole thing. She doesn’t regret it, she says it is her life and that the baby came out of her so we should all leave her alone. She has eight kids to cater for, why then is she getting pregnant if she doesn’t need more?”

 Another neighbour said:

“And it is not as if she is insane, she is very normal. She usually sells soap (oshe) here in the street, we don’t understand why she will just decide to give birth by herself and kill the baby on delivery.”

The husband to the woman in question is yet to say a word concerning this situation.
