Woman whose Hands were Chopped off by Husband for being Barren is now Carrying a Child for another Man

Jackline Mwende, the Kenyan woman, who made headlines last year after her 34-year-old husband, Stephen Ngila, reportedly chopped off her limbs because she was barren, is now heavily pregnant.

Ngila reportedly attacked his wife on 18th July 2016 after accusing her of failing to conceive a child for him (read here). The couple had been married for 7 years without getting a child. It was reported that Ngila was the one with the fertility issues that could have been treated.

Well, Mwende, is once again making headlines following the unfolding of events at her home village in Masii, Machakos County over the past weekend.

Speaking on her unexpected pregnancy, Mwende admitted she cheated on her husband with a close friend after he walked out on her and the brutal attack occurred three days after she conceived, Nairobi News reports.

”A day earlier I had been spotted with the father of my unborn child. We had sought accommodation in Machakos town because I did not want to bring him to my matrimonial bed. It was on the Saturday, July 23, and after spending time with him, I went back home.

I lived alone because my husband had taken off three months earlier. On 24th, Ngila attacked me with the panga, forcing doctors to amputate both my hands,” said Mwende.

In addition, she said that she has no regrets for her relationship because she opted for this route out of a deep desire to bear a child.

After the brutal attack, 28-year-old Mwende was flown to South Korea on 26th September 2016 where she was fitted with Myoelectric Prosthetics (read here).

Yesterday, February 21, the lucky expecting mum received a four bedroom house and a fully stocked supermarket from a group of female parliamentarians in conjunction with an international company.
