UNFPA Appoints Stephanie Linus as New Regional Maternal Health Ambassador for West & Central Africa

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), just appointed Stephanie Linus as the regional ambassador for maternal health in West and Central Africa.

The Nollywood mum, took to her Instagram page to share the news and voice her desires and wants for the new role she has been assigned to. She says that fighting for safe child birth for women all across Africa is a cause worth fighting for and she is honored to work with UNFPA as they work to deliver a world where pregnancy is wanted.

“What use is great development, if we are cannot make child birth safe for women in Africa? I am tired of seeing teenage girls drop out of school because they got pregnant at the wrong age. Are you? An African woman should not lose her life while giving birth to her child” said Stephanie Linus
