Ego Boyo Appointed 60th President of International Womens Society

Veteran Nollywood actress and producer, Ego Boyo, has been named the 60th president of the International Women’s Society (IWS).

The organisation was established in 1957 as an independent, non-political, non-governmental and non-profit organisation, made to empower and bring together women of the society. Ego Boyo will be the 60th president of the distinguished society and was honored and inaugurated yesterday, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at a ceremony that took place in Banana Island, Lagos.

The event was attended by lots of influential women who in their own way, have impacted the fashion and entertainment world. Women like Rita Dominic, Lanre Da Silva, Mimi Onalaja & many more were present to help celebrate the special day.

Ego Boyo has been married to Deputy Group Chief Executive of Oando PLC, Omamofe Boyo, for 25 years. She has been in Nollywood since the late 80s. Ego is best remembered for her role as Ann Haastrup in the popular NTA soap, Checkmate, alongside veteran actor, Richard Mofe Damijo.
