Man Arrested for Raping Two of His Daughters in Lagos
Idowu Lasisi, a 42-year-old plumber has been arrested by the Lagos Police force for allegedly raping two of his daughters, 15-year-old & 19-year-old senior secondary school students.
Punch Metro reports that the first incident occurred in 2015, where he raped the eldest daughter, who fled home after the incident.
Their mother is separated from her husband, leaving the 15 year old girl and her 10 year old sister in the care of Idowu.
A police source at the Lagos State Police Command, where the suspect was transferred to, shared and confirmed the incident.
“The girl is currently at the Mirabel Centre for medical tests. She said her father had had sex with her three times and that she tried to resist the harassment. He gave her N500 each time he had sex with her. Her mother fled home two years ago when he raped the girl’s elder sister. The whereabouts of the other victim had yet to be known. But the suspect is still denying that he raped them even though her daughter insisted he did,” the source said.
State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, confirmed Lasisi’s arrest, adding that the case was thoroughly being investigated. He also added that Idowu will be paraded once investigation was completed.
