Kemi Olunloyo Lands in Jail for Alleged Cyber Bullying

Controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, known for her penchant for reporting unconfirmed stories about public figures, has been arrested by the Nigeria police for allegedly cyber-bullying Pastor David Ibiyeomie.

Kemi, who is an investigative journalist, published a letter sent to her by the one of the members of the pastor’s church, claiming that he was secretly dating Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo. 3 days ago, she took to Instagram, telling her fans, that she was being picked up by the police force in Ibadan for questioning.

“#BREAKING 7.56am #Ibadan. The NPF just stormed my house arresting me taking me to CID for questioning. They say its NOT a criminal matter. Pls share!! KOO
FREE SPEECH RULES!”

Punch reports however, that she was driven to Port Harcourt and detained in a prison and thereafter, the pastor complained that she had defamed him in the post.

She has been remanded in prison, without bail alongside a Rivers State journalist, who also confirmed her story. Kemi is to remain in prison till March 23 when she will appear in court for another bail hearing.

Kemi Olunloyo is the daughter of former governor of Oyo State, Victor Omololu Olunloyo and a mother with one son, Enitan Robert.
