Man Bags 9 Years in Prison With Hard Labor For Raping & Impregnating Own Daughter
Taiwo Olubayode was sentenced to nine years imprisonment with hard labor by a family court at Oke-Eda, Akure for impregnating his 16-year-old daughter. He arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and charged with one count of having incestuous relationship with his daughter.
The NSCDC prosecuting officer, Ebriku David, informed the court that the victim reported the case to the NSCDC’s office in Idanre, Ondo state. It was then discovered that the girl was pregnant, and she confirmed that her father was responsible for the pregnancy after investigations.
Punch reports that David also told the court that the victim’s father had earlier confessed at the NSCDC office that he did have carnal knowledge of his daughter.
The preciding magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Edwin, said Olubayode found him guilty of the charge and sentenced him to nine years in prison with hard labour without option of fine.
9 years is too small please. He should be locked away forever.
