Check Out French Presidential Candidate Emmanuel Macron & Wife’s Unusual Love Story
The love story between France’s Presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron, and his wife Brigitte Trogneux, is a truly remarkable one.
Daily Mail reports that the pair first met when Brigitte was Emmanuel’s teacher when he was just 15 and she was 40. Two years later he decided he wanted to marry her. The relationship started after Emmanuel acted in Brigitte’s theater pieces when he was aged just 18 at a private Jesuit school in Amiens, northern France. Then Brigitte was married and mother of three, she was supervising the drama club and he was a member. After a lot of wooing from the charming 18 year old, Brigitte divorced her husband, moved to Paris to join Emmanuel and they have been together ever since. The pair got married in 2007.
They have now been together 10 years, the love between the 64 year old blonde and her husband who may yet become the youngest president of France at 40 is believed to be one of understanding and true love.
In a lot of interviews, Emmanuel Macron constantly expresses his utomost love and respect for his wife. He was quoted by The Independent UK as saying:
“When he was a minister, she sat in on some of his meetings. Last month Mr. Macron confirmed that Brigitte would not – and had not – played a mere, passive supportive ‘wife of the candidate’ role. His wife would never just be “behind” him, he told supporters. “If I’m elected – no, sorry, when we are elected – she will be there, with a role and a place.”
