The trend of domestic violence in Nigeria seems to be increasing exponentially. Yet another story about domestic violence has come to light. In this case, an engineer battered his wife of 20 years with a hammer, and inflicted a deep cut on her head. The incident occurred in Akwa Ibom.

A Facebook user identified as Prince Abubakar Aphyz‎, took to the page of Due Process Advocates (DPA) to share some graphic photos and story of the woman, a mother of five, identified as Ntienseobot Anietimfon Ekere.
According to the post, the man, identified as Engr. Anietimfon Festus Ekere is a staff of Exxon Mobil Nigeria.
Here’s how Prince narrated the story:
”This is Mrs Ntienseobot Anietimfon Ekere of 1, Udo Umoh close, Off Udo ikpe street, Off Nwaniba road, Uyo. Akwa Ibom state.
She was battered by her hubby (domestic violence). Her husband hit her head with hammer, and threw her out at an ungodly hour of the night. The man’s name is Engr. Anietimfon Festus Ekere who works with Exon Mobile.
The worst part is, they’ve been married for 20 yrs, with 5 children.
