”It took me 42 years to find her” – Divorced R&B Singer Brian McKnight Announces he is Engaged to Longtime Girlfriend

Brian McKnight, 47, is an American R&B singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose work has earned him 16 Grammy Awards nominations.

McKnight was married in 1990 to his college sweetheart, Julie, but they got divorced in 2003. Together, they have two sons, Brian Jr and Niko McKnight, and he also has a son, Clyde from another relationship.

McKnight and his ex-wife were married for 13 years.

“When you decide to make a commitment to someone, make sure that that person has everything you want. Do not compromise on one thing because it’s those things that are going to get you through the tough times,” Brian tells Oprah.
