See the Incredulous Reason This Man & His Children Burnt a 60 Year Old Man Alive
A man, his children and other family members have been arrested by the police in Abuja for allegedly burning a 60-year-old man to death.
Pius Inaiwe, the deceased, was said to have been killed because he urinated in their compound. Punch gathered that Pius went into a coma after he was assaulted by the suspects. He was rushed to a private hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The unfortunate incident occurred last Thursday, and was said to have caused an uproar in the community. Youths of the community attempted to attack the father and his sons involved in the assault on the elderly man. Correspondents also learnt that it took the intervention of the Divisional Police Officer, Gwagwa Police Station, and some other prominent persons in the area to stop the youths from attacking.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Perry Usen, confirmed to Punch on Sunday that six suspects were in custody in connection with the incident.
“I can confirm to you that we have six suspects in custody in connection with the incident. A man and his family members, including his children were arrested for allegedly lynching a 60-year-old man because he urinated near their compound. Investigation is ongoing to know the level of their involvement in the crime,” he said.
What a reason to kill someone. People these days don’t value other people’s lives.
