Dear MIMsters: How Do I Tell my Friend this Without Upsetting her?

I work in the southern part of Nigeria, and I have this friend who works here too in the same state. She came visiting and spent the whole weekend with me. To her it was fun but to me it was hell because she has a very strong body odour which persists even after having her shower which she does once a day.

I slept on the floor all through her stay, despite the cold. I talked to her about getting a deodorant but surprisingly, she turned it down and told me she wants to get her complete set of make up first. Even when I told her to have a shower twice daily, she turned it down, with the excuse that she isn’t a fish. She has left my house now but she will be visiting again next weekend.

I need to know: how do I tell her she has an offensive body odour without upsetting her?
