Hugh Jackman & Wife Deborra-Lee Reveal Secrets of their 21 Year Blissful Marriage
Hollywood star, Hugh Jackman, 48, and Deborra-Lee Furness, 61, have been married for 21 years now, and the secret to their long-lasting marriage is actually quite simple.
At the National Night of Laughter and Song event on Monday, the Australian power couple spoke to People and revealed their bonding ritual.
Interestingly, the couple put it all down to meditating together.
When asked what has kept their bond thrive over the years, Hugh said: ‘Meditation!’
“We meditate together,” Deborra-Lee added. “And sometimes we have friends over to do it, too. It’s a lovely Sunday-morning thing. Everyone comes over, and then we have breakfast.”
And there are other ways the pair keep their marriage going, including a “sense of humor,” as Furness said.
And Jackman immediately backed her up, saying, “And always listen to the wife.” Earlier this year, Hugh posted a sweet tribute to his wife on Instagram to mark their wedding anniversary.
”To the love of my life. 21 glorious years. I love you with all my heart,” he wrote alongside a photo of the couple
Jackman first fell for the actress despite the 13-year age difference, while working on one of his first acting jobs on the Australian TV show Correlli.
“She was the star and I had this major crush on her,” Hugh told Ellen DeGeneres in 2016.
“Everyone did. The whole crew had a crush on her and I was so embarrassed by that.”
The couple has two amazing kids together, Oscar, 15, and Ava, 10.
