Update on Notorious Kidnapper Evans: Wife Reveals More Details

Lagos kidnap kingpin, Chukwudemeje George Onwamadike a.k.a Evans is still being interrogated by the police, and there are more shocking updates being revealed. His wife and mother of his five children, Uchenna Precious Onwuamadike, who once claimed she didn’t know her husband was even wealthy has gone on to reveal details about where he banks his ill-gotten money.

In an interview with the media, Uchenna disclosed that her husband kept his money in Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), adding that officials of the bank frequently visited their house to transact business with Evans.

”I have not been receiving money from him, I have never seen his money. I know he banks with GTB only. Their staff used to visit us in the house.”

It will be recalled that in one of his interviews, Evans claimed he gave his father, Stephen Onwuamadike N3million cash, a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and a Hilux Van before he stopped visiting his hometown, Umudim, Nnewi in Anambra State (read here).

However, according to a new report by The Nation, the 58-year-old father of 11 dismissed the claims as false.

”If he insists that he gave me money, they should ask him when and how he brought the money to me, whether through the bank or through anybody. I have been in poverty in Nnewi here and feeding has been a problem for me and somebody, somewhere said he gave me N3million.Where is the money or any sign of it in this house?
Money does not hide, I feed myself and my mother with this small piggery I’m running, while my mother engages in buying of goats to keep body and soul together even at her old age.
My son should stop talking of things that are impossible and pray to God for forgiveness. I have never been in support of bad things in life and will never engage in such at this age.”
Stephen who described the allegation as all fallacy, also disputed a claim by Evans that he has herbalists in Nnewi (one of whom, according to him, is a traditional ruler) who were preparing charms for him.
He said Nnewi has only one traditional ruler and four Obis and none of them is a herbalist.
”Security operatives should take him to Pastor T.B Joshua for deliverance before any other thing, but he should stop dropping names,” he added.
