Dear MIMsters: Everyone Wants Me to be His Wife but I’m Not Sure it Would Be Right

I have been friends with this guy for over 15 years now who is very much like a brother to me. We are so much like siblings that we use to sleep together on the same bed for days. Now, I’m not sure getting married to him would be the right, and this is why.

In 2010, he got married and 7 months into the marriage, he came to me saying he wanted a divorce and was seeking my opinion so that he could make his final decision.

His reason for wanting a divorce was because his blood group is AS and found out after his wife got pregnant that her blood group is also AS. The problem is she knew all along that her blood group was AS, so she lied.

She told him that she was afraid to lose him, hence she lied. I advised him not to quit.

Unfortunately, the baby’s blood group turned out to be SS.

Next, early this year, he got to know again that, one of his wife’s tubes was removed when she had a C-Section 5 years ago but he wasn’t told.

When he asked her why she hide this truth from him, she said, she though it was not necessary. Now, the marriage has collapsed as he said he can’t continue for the risk of giving birth to a SS baby.

He now wants me as a wife. His family and mine are insisting that I marry him. I am confused and do not know what to do now. I have met his wife only twice since their 7 years of marriage. Is it right to accept him?

  • It is so not right please. Find your own man. Why didn’t he marry you in the first place?

  • This is like settling for a leftover. This guy saw you before he went to get married. Kindly press ignore and look for your own.
