American Rapper DMX Pleads to Be Released So He Can Feed His Kids | See Details

DMX is getting a little restless while on house arrest. He wants to leave the confines of his home to travel for guest appearances, but a judge has denied his request because he did not ask for permission early enough.

The rapper whose real name is Earl Simmons, was placed on house arrest earlier this month after violating the conditions of his bail in relation to his tax-evasion case. Shortly afterward, the rapper failed four drug tests.

While the probation officers reportedly want the Judge to deny the rest of his travel plans because they will interfere with his current drug program, DMX says he needs to make the other gigs so he can feed his 15 kids.

According to NewYorkdailynews, the court mandated that DMX make a travel request at least one week in advance, his lawyer Murray Richman, submitted a letter to a federal court.

Murray had asked for the approval of the father of fifteen (15) kids’ trips to Atlanta, Vegas, Philly and Los Angeles on Monday, only four days before his most recent appearance in court this week.

 

Federal Judge Jed Rakoff wrote in a letter on Tuesday neither Simmons nor his counsel wrote any application pertaining to him travelling to Atlanta and it was never mentioned to the court until it was filled yesterday.

“At the hearing on August 11, neither defendant nor his counsel made any application to travel to Atlanta on August 17, nor was any further mention of it made to the Court until the letter filed late yesterday afternoon.

Surely the defendant knows by now that the Court will strictly enforce the terms of his pre-trial release. Accordingly, the Court hereby denies leave for defendant to travel to Atlanta on August 17.”

It looks like DMX will not be making his way down to the Atlanta this week for the BET appearance, but his legal team hopes the judge will grant him permission to go to the three other cities on his list.

However, the dad who is worried about his children wants to make his appearances and attend all the necessary shows so he can make his money and cater for all his children.
