Nigerian Lady Stops Neighbor’s Son From Entering Her Home | See Reason

A  Seamstress, Eby Amanda Pius-Urium took to Facebook to reveal why she stopped her neighbor’s 2-year-old son from entering her room with the hope to sensitise parents to raise their boy child properly.

Amanda is sharing her story just to shed light on the fact that parents spend so much time training the girl child for a man while the boy who is marrying her is left to wallow in bad manners and ego.

This is mostly common in Africa and Nigeria as a country, most of our cultures see it mandatory for a female child to be more cautioned and properly trained while the son is groomed to be the head.

It has long been in practice in our country for most parents to concentrate more on training their girl child while indulging the boy child who grow up to be egotistical men.

Eventually the little boy would grow with these bad and violent traits, show case it out there to the world as an adult and maybe he would have caused a lot of catastrophe.

Read what Amanda wrote below:

Twice, I told my neighbor that she’s raising a violent boy. A little boy who is barely 2 years old will be yelling at you and his father. For what? I stopped the boy from coming to my room after shouting at me more than twice.

This morning, she told me that her son would be at mine while she goes pick up something. I told her. “no”. I’m busy and secondly, the boy has no manners at his age. She said “na man na! Him go learn small small. I no want make my pikin to dull”

I have locked my door without even talking to her again. We spend so much time training the girl child for a man while we leave the boy who is marrying her to wallow in bad manners and ego.”

Parents should do the right thing and perform their parental duties by teaching their children the right things. Using a gender equality method allows room for proper training of the child.

In this light, both the male and the female are taught the necessary things, trained properly and they would eventually be presentable no matter how far they go from their parents.

  • Kudos to her. She’s so right. Parents need to learn to raise both male and female kids equally.

  • She did the right thing, people think male children don’t need much training. Exactly why there are lots of domestic violence lately.
