Actress Ashionye Michelle & Italian Husband Celebrate 18 Years of Love

Ashionye Michelle Raccah is a woman of many parts: producer, director, scriptwriter and musician. The talented Nigerian actress and her Italian-Nigerian husband Carl Raccah celebrated eight years of married life yesterday, August 29th.

To mark their union, filled with love, the stunning mother shared throwback photos from their traditional wedding and family photos on her Instagram page and wrote;

“Happy anniversary to us, baby @carlraccah. Almost 18 years of love & friendship, 8 years of marriage with two beautiful, amazing, awesome kids and on the road to forever.

The couple who met in Nigerian got married August 29, 2009, and they have two cute children together.

When asked why she married a white man in an interview, the actress said:

“It depends on a lot of of things. And by the way, how many Nollywood actresses are married to the Oyinbos? I don’t see color as an individual in marriage. My husband doesn’t see color either.

I believe that the actresses that you are referring to, and their husbands don’t see color too. That’s why they decided to marry. The world is one color to me, but don’t ask me which color.

You might see my husband as a white man, but I don’t see him that way. After all, my husband was born in Kano and he speaks Hausa fluently.”
