“If not for her . . .”: Ramsey Nouah Gets Candid About What Keeps His Family Together

Veteran Nollywood actor and husband Ramsey Nouah in a new interview with Classic 97.3 FM radio, has opened up on his marriage of almost sixteen years. He also cleared the air on his nationality.

In the interview, the celebrated actor/filmmaker, 46, gushed about his wife, Emelia Philips Nouah. 

According to the happily married dad of three, he cherishes his family so much, and describes  his wife as the ‘power-house’ of the family, Punch reports.

When asked about how he has kept his marriage intact for this long, despite being in the public eye, the famous actor said:

”My wife is the power-house of my family. If it were not for her, I would not have been able to keep a family together.

She is such a wonderful woman. I always price her above other women,” he said, in response to a question about his family.

Speaking about the romantic roles he played in movies and its effect on his marriage, he added,

”I would just laugh at their questions and reply that my wife had been able to cope because she was a triple woman,” he said.

Nouah also said he should not be judged by his role in his recent movie, “My wife and I”, adding that, apart from being happily married, he is blessed with three children, two daughters and a son.

The talented actor born to an Israeli dad and Yoruba mum from Ondo State cleared the air on his nationality. He said would prefer to be called a Nigerian and not an Israeli or Lebanese.

”I am Nigerian. Although I am also partly Israeli and Lebanese, I carry only the Nigerian passport. I was born and raised in Nigeria.

All my life I have lived in this country and I have never been to either Israel or Lebanon where my paternal grandparents come from. Basically, this is my home and where I have found myself.”

It’s nice when couples appreciate each other for their roles in keeping the family strong. Marriage is a team effort.
